Why is the average battery energy consumed value much less than the battery capacity?

This usually happens when there is a lot of load, and not enough solar energy to charge up the battery in bad months. To check,

• go to Reports > Design Review page

• on the Average Daily Performance chart, select a week view in the best solar month, and then a week view in the worst solar month.

• Click ‘State of Charge’ in the chart legend to display it.

In this example, we can see that the battery gets a good cycle every day in January:

But in July there isn’t enough solar energy to charge the battery:

You could consider adding more panels or recommending the customer reduce the winter energy consumption. Or grid charge during off peak in the winter, but that rarely pays for itself.
