Processing Power
Designing large PV arrays requires a more powerful computer. What’s the maximum system size you can create in SolarPlus? There are many variables, for example designs using single MPPT core inverters are faster than multi-MPPT inverters and MLPE (micro-inverters), but as a guide:
<100kW: A modern laptop
<500kW: A modern desktop computer
500kW and above: 32 GB RAM, 8 Core 3.8GHz Processor, 12GB GPU/Graphics card (Windows) Mac Studio Apple M2 Ultra 64GB RAM.
